Terms of Service
Effective date: 14 October 2026 · Last updated: 13 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Studio PropelHaus Inc. (“pblc”, “we”, “us”), 920-650 rue Wellington, Montréal (Québec) H3C 1T3, Canada, for using pblc: the pblc app, pblc.ai (public profiles, Explore and the website) and the services we provide with them (together, the “Service”).
Ces conditions sont aussi offertes en français : pblc.ai/fr/terms. Section 22 explains which version applies.
When these terms apply. They apply once you accept them in the app: it asks when you create your pblc account or sign in, and again when they change. Visiting public pages on pblc.ai doesn’t require an account or accepting anything; when you use a feature that sends information on pblc.ai (asking an assistant, filling in a form, reporting content, joining the waitlist), the rules for that use in sections 5, 6, 8 and 9 apply. If you use pblc for a business or an organization, you accept these terms on its behalf and confirm you’re authorized to.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Accepting these terms isn’t consent to every use of your personal information: where the law requires your consent, we ask for it separately.
If you’re a consumer, in Quebec or elsewhere, the law where you live may give you rights these terms can’t take away. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Sections 15 to 21 explain how this applies.
1. What pblc is
pblc lets people and businesses (“owners”) publish a profile at pblc.ai, with their links, events and an AI assistant that answers visitors’ questions from what the owner approved. Visitors can view profiles, ask the assistant, leave a way to be contacted, and discover what’s happening in Explore. Owners handle conversations in their Inbox, with help from AI, and can invite team members.
2. Who can use pblc
- Accounts: you must be 18 or older, and old enough to enter into a contract where you live, to create an account, as an owner or a team member.
- Visitors can view public profiles and Explore without an account. pblc isn’t intended for children under 13, or under the age required to consent to online services where you live if it’s higher. The assistants on pblc.ai aren’t directed to minors: if you’re under 18, use them only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
- You can’t use pblc if we closed your account for breaking these terms, or if the law forbids you to.
3. Your account
- Signing in. Depending on the version of the app, you sign in with Apple, with Google, or with a one-time code we email to you. You can also turn on Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint sign-in when available. Keep access to your Apple, Google or email account and to your devices secure.
- You’re responsible for what you do with your account and for the access you give others (for example your team), subject to the law. Tell us at support@propelhaus.com if you think someone else is using your account.
- One person per account. Don’t share your sign-in or create accounts by automated means.
- Profile addresses (handles) aren’t owned. We may change or take back a handle that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark or misleads people. We reserve some handles for pblc’s own pages and for people and brands we’re talking to.
4. Your profile and your content
Your content is everything you or your team add to pblc: your profile, photos, links, events, Explore posts, Sources, saved answers, messages, and what connected services bring in.
You keep ownership of your content. To run pblc, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, adapt (for example resize, translate, format or summarize), display and distribute your content, only as reasonably needed to provide and secure the Service. This covers:
- showing your published profile publicly on pblc.ai, in the app and in Explore, letting search engines index it and letting other sites show link previews of it;
- using your published profile, approved Sources, saved answers and events so your assistant can answer visitors;
- sending your content to our service providers, including AI providers, for these purposes, as the Privacy Policy explains.
This licence doesn’t let us use your drafts, Sources or conversations in advertising, or use your content to train AI models. We ask for your permission before using your profile or your posts in pblc’s promotional material, such as store screenshots or ads; accepting these terms isn’t that permission.
The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups until they’re replaced on their normal schedule, content others already shared (for example a link preview), and messages that stay in another profile’s conversations (see the Privacy Policy).
You’re responsible for your content. You confirm you have the rights to everything you add (including photos, documents, music and other people’s information), that it’s accurate, and that it follows these terms and the law. Don’t add other people’s personal information unless you’re allowed to, and don’t add sensitive information (health, financial, government ID numbers, passwords) about anyone.
Drafts and publishing. Editing a draft doesn’t publish it. A private preview link lets anyone who has it see the draft. Profile photos are reachable through their web address. Sources you approve for answers can be quoted by the assistant even though their files are private. Check what you publish, including AI suggestions and imported events. If you turn on auto-sync, events from a connected calendar go on your live profile without a separate review.
Checked before publishing. We check the text of a profile and of Explore posts with an automated moderation tool before they’re published, and may ask you to change what it flags.
5. The AI assistant
How it works. Your assistant answers visitors with AI from OpenAI, using your published profile, the Sources you approved, your saved answers and your events. It can show event cards, your booking page and short forms that collect what you need to follow up. Visitors are told it’s AI before their first message or, on Instagram, in the first automatic reply. You can turn it off at any time (Settings → Privacy & assistant), take over any conversation and let it resume. If you connect Instagram, it also answers your Instagram direct messages, and you’re responsible for its automatic replies there as on your profile.
AI can be wrong. Answers are generated automatically. They can be incomplete, outdated or wrong, even when your information is right. We work to keep answers grounded in your approved information, but we can’t guarantee any answer.
Owners are responsible for:
- the information the assistant answers from: keep your profile, Sources and saved answers accurate and current, especially prices, availability, dates and policies;
- not using the assistant to give regulated advice (medical, legal, financial, tax and the like), make binding offers or contracts, take payments, or collect sensitive information (payment card numbers, passwords, government ID numbers, health information);
- honouring what you tell visitors, and following the laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection and advertising laws;
- reviewing suggested replies before sending them: they’re never sent on their own.
A visitor’s question, a lead label or a “ready to buy” estimate isn’t a commitment by anyone. pblc isn’t a party to arrangements between an owner and a visitor.
Visitors: the assistant gives automated information about the owner from what the owner approved, and it can still say things that are wrong or unsupported. It can’t make a commitment for pblc, and confirming important details with the owner is your best protection. This doesn’t remove any right you have concerning misleading statements or an agreement the law recognizes. Don’t share sensitive information in a chat. The owner, the team members who handle conversations, and pblc and its service providers where needed (as the Privacy Policy explains) can process the conversation.
Screening and sorting. AI screens messages for spam and abuse, sorts conversations by topic and intent, estimates interest and suggests replies. Screening can end a chat that it finds to be spam or abuse. You can ask for a person to review that decision at hello@propelhaus.com; the Privacy Policy explains your rights about profiling and automated decisions.
6. Visitors and contact details
When a visitor leaves contact details or sends a request, the profile’s owner and the team members who handle conversations receive them. If the visitor opens the owner’s booking page from the chat, the booking service receives the name and email address the visitor gave in the chat.
Owners may use a visitor’s information only to handle that visitor’s request, unless they have another lawful basis and any consent the law requires. An email address left for a reply isn’t consent to a newsletter. Commercial messages must follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the other laws that apply, including identification and unsubscribe requirements. Owners must protect the information they receive, limit who can access it, delete it when they no longer need it, and help people who ask to exercise their privacy rights.
Owners decide how they manage their own relationships with visitors. pblc is responsible for its own processing, as described in the Privacy Policy. If your organization needs data processing terms for information we process for you, write to hello@propelhaus.com.
7. Team members
Owners can invite people to help with a profile, as a manager (everything except transferring or deleting the profile), an editor (edits the draft and sees statistics, without publishing or conversations) or a representative (conversations only). The owner is responsible for who they invite and what those people do on the profile. Team members must follow these terms. An owner can remove a team member at any time.
8. Acceptable use
Don’t use pblc to:
- Break the law or help others break it, including consumer, privacy, anti-spam, intellectual property and export laws.
- Infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- Impersonate a person or business, or mislead people about who you are, what you offer or your affiliation. Parody and fan pages must say so clearly.
- Spam: send unsolicited messages, mass inquiries, or repeated or automated messages to assistants or owners; use the Inbox, email replies or invitations to send bulk or commercial messages without consent.
- Harass, threaten, bully or abuse anyone, or promote violence or hatred against people based on a protected characteristic.
- Post illegal or harmful content: sexual content involving minors (we report it as the law requires), non-consensual intimate images, content that encourages self-harm or suicide, terrorism or violent extremism, or the sale of illegal goods or services.
- Post sexually explicit content.
- Scam or defraud people, including fake events, fake fundraisers, phishing, or collecting payment details or passwords.
- Misuse an assistant: try to make it ignore its instructions, reveal hidden instructions or other people’s information, produce content unrelated to the profile or generate harmful content; or use it as a free general-purpose AI.
- Misuse Sources or imports: add pages or documents with hidden instructions aimed at AI, or that you don’t have the right to use.
- Interfere with pblc: probe, scan or test our systems’ vulnerabilities without permission, get around our limits, bot checks or security, overload the Service, or access accounts or data that aren’t yours.
- Scrape or harvest: collect profiles, contact details or Explore data by automated means, except search engines following our robots rules, and except the neighbourhood data we publish for download under its licence (section 10).
- Resell or copy pblc, or use confidential or unlawfully obtained material from it to build a competing product. This doesn’t prevent lawful competition, permitted interoperability or rights the law gives you.
We may remove content, limit features, end conversations or pause accounts that break these rules (section 15).
9. Reporting and blocking
Report. Use Report on a profile, an Explore post, an assistant’s answer or a conversation, in the app or on pblc.ai, or write to support@propelhaus.com with the page’s address and what’s wrong. For copyright or trademark complaints, write to hello@propelhaus.com with your contact details, the work or mark concerned, where it appears on pblc, and a statement that you’re the rights holder or authorized to act for them.
We review reports promptly, usually within a day. We may remove or restrict content. When we do, we tell the owner why and how to ask for a review, unless the law or safety prevents it. To challenge a decision, reply to our notice or write to hello@propelhaus.com, and a person will look at it again.
If you’re in the European Union, you can send us notices about illegal content through Report or at hello@propelhaus.com, in English or French. We handle them diligently and tell you what we decided.
Block. In your Inbox, Block stops the person who wrote a conversation from writing to your profile again: a person who asked from the app until you unblock them, a pblc.ai visitor for 90 days. The conversation moves to Spam. On someone’s profile in the app, Block removes their profile from your Explore and Around you and stops it from asking your profiles. You can undo both in Settings → Privacy & assistant. Blocking someone who wrote on Instagram stops pblc from answering and listing their messages; it doesn’t block them on Instagram.
10. Explore, public pages and maps
- Explore shows published profiles, events and posts by city and neighbourhood. What appears there comes from owners. We don’t check every listing in advance and can’t guarantee events will happen as described, although we may moderate listings under these terms. Check with the organizer.
- Location. Profiles show a city and neighbourhood, and an exact address only when an owner publishes one. Around you uses your device’s location only when you ask, as the Privacy Policy explains.
- Neighbourhood and place data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors (through Overture Maps, under the Open Database License, ODbL), the City of Montréal (CC BY 4.0), GeoNames (CC BY 4.0) and Geoapify, among others, and may be approximate. See pblc.ai/credits for sources, licences and the free download of pblc’s neighbourhood table, which you may use under the ODbL.
- We decide how Explore ranks and shows things. There’s no paid placement.
11. Connectors, embeds and other services
pblc lets you connect or show other services: calendar feeds, Eventbrite (when available), booking pages (Calendly, Cal.com), and players, posts and forms from services such as YouTube, Spotify or Instagram.
- You must have the right to connect an account or a feed, and you must follow that service’s terms. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, and we don’t control them. This doesn’t limit our responsibility under the law for our own integration and conduct.
- Each connector explains what it reads before you connect it. When you connect it, you authorize us to read that information (for example your upcoming public events) and to keep the access we need, encrypted, until you disconnect. Disconnecting deletes the stored access.
- A service can change or stop working with pblc at any time. We may remove a connector if its provider’s terms or the law require it.
- Some services can’t be read automatically under their terms. For those, you paste the information yourself.
- Instagram (when available) connects through Instagram’s own permission screen. You authorize pblc to read the direct messages sent to your account and to send replies in its name, from your assistant and your team. You must follow Instagram’s terms and Community Guidelines, and turn off other automatic replies on the account, or people may get two. Replies can only go out within the 24 hours Instagram allows. We may stop automatic replies if Meta asks us to or limits your account.
12. Subscriptions and purchases
pblc has a free plan. Paid plans, when offered, are sold only as in-app subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Before you buy, the app shows the plan’s features and limits, its price and currency, the billing period and that it renews automatically. Applicable taxes are handled by the store.
- Payment is handled by Apple or Google, with the payment method in your store account, under their terms.
- Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the deadline your store shows: on the App Store, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period or free trial.
- Cancelling. Cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Your paid features continue until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your pblc account doesn’t cancel a subscription.
- Free trials, if offered, show their length and what follows before you start. A trial becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. We don’t offer a separate refund policy. This doesn’t limit any refund or remedy the law gives you, including under Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act.
- Price changes are announced in advance by the store, which asks for your consent where its rules or the law require it. You can cancel before a new price applies. We don’t change the price of a period you already paid for.
- Changing or ending a plan. When a paid plan ends or you move to a smaller one, the smaller plan’s limits apply. Your content stays, but features or content beyond those limits may become unavailable until you upgrade or reduce them.
13. Draft profiles we prepared for you
If our team prepared a draft profile for you from your public page (see the Privacy Policy) and you accept it, it becomes your profile under these terms. Check everything before you publish: it was written partly with AI from your public information and may contain mistakes. If you don’t want it, tell us at hello@propelhaus.com and we’ll delete it.
14. Our property and your feedback
pblc’s software, design, name, logo, themes, the background pictures we provide, and its documentation belong to Studio PropelHaus Inc. or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service under these terms. Don’t copy, modify, reverse engineer or use our trademarks without our written permission, except as the law allows.
You may use the background pictures generated for your profile on pblc. Generated pictures may not be unique, and we don’t guarantee that they’re protected by copyright or exclusively yours.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without obligation to you.
15. Pausing, suspending and ending
By you. You can stop using pblc and delete your account at any time: Settings → Danger zone → Delete account in the app, or pblc.ai/account/delete. The Privacy Policy explains what’s deleted and when. If you have a subscription, cancel it in your store’s settings (section 12).
By us. We may pause or suspend your account, remove content or limit features if:
- you break these terms or the law, or we reasonably believe you did;
- it’s needed to protect visitors, other users, pblc or the public (for example fraud, spam or a security issue);
- the law or a valid order requires it.
While an account is paused, its owner can’t use the app, its public profile isn’t available and its assistant doesn’t answer. We tell you why and how to respond, unless the law or safety prevents it, and restore access if the problem is resolved. For serious or repeated violations, we may close the account. A suspension or closure isn’t the final word on whether you broke these terms: you keep your right to challenge it and to any remedy the law gives you.
We may also end the Service, or a feature, with reasonable notice: at least 30 days for paid features, with any refund the law requires. Before it ends, you can ask us for a copy of your content at hello@propelhaus.com.
Quebec consumers: if your contract is for an indeterminate term and you aren’t in default, we give you at least 60 days’ written notice before ending it. We end a fixed-term contract early only for reasons the law allows.
Sections that by their nature should continue (such as section 4 for licences already used, and sections 14 and 17 to 22) continue after these terms end.
16. Changes to pblc
We improve and update pblc. Changes to features, limits or other obligations you agreed to follow section 21 and the law. We don’t remove a significant paid feature during a period you already paid for by simply offering you the option to cancel.
17. Disclaimers
Consumers: nothing in these terms excludes the legal warranties you have, our responsibility for our own acts and those of our representatives, or the remedies mandatory law gives you. The next paragraph doesn’t apply to Quebec consumer contracts.
For other users, to the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without additional warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of AI answers, listings or third-party data. We don’t control other users or external services, but this doesn’t exclude our own legal responsibilities.
18. Limitation of liability
This section doesn’t apply to Quebec consumers. For all other users, and only as far as the law allows:
- we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including lost profits, revenue, data or opportunities;
- our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (including through an app store) and CA$100.
These limits never apply to intentional or gross fault, to bodily or moral injury, or to any other liability the law doesn’t allow us to exclude or limit. Nothing here removes our responsibility for our own conduct because a claim involves AI, a user or a service provider.
19. Business indemnity
This section applies only if you use pblc for your business and aren’t protected as a consumer for this agreement. To the extent the law allows, you’ll compensate us for third-party claims, and the reasonable costs that result, caused by your unlawful content or by a breach of these terms you’re responsible for. You don’t compensate us for our own fault or that of our representatives.
We’ll tell you promptly about such a claim, cooperate reasonably and let you take part in its defence. Neither of us will settle a claim in a way that imposes an admission, a payment or another obligation on the other without their prior consent, which won’t be unreasonably withheld.
20. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Subject to the next sentence, the courts of the judicial district of Montréal, Quebec, have exclusive jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer, you can also bring a claim before the courts where you live, and you keep the protections of the law of the place where you live. There’s no mandatory arbitration and no class action waiver.
You can write to support@propelhaus.com to try to solve a problem. This is optional and doesn’t delay or limit your access to a court, a regulator or another remedy.
21. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when pblc or the law changes. We don’t use this section to change an essential element of a fixed-term consumer contract, such as its price, nature or duration, during its term.
For a change to the contract, we send you a clear written notice, in the app or by email, at least 30 days before it takes effect. The notice gives the new clause, or the changed clause with its former wording, the date it takes effect and your right to refuse it. If the change increases your obligations or reduces ours, you can refuse it and end the agreement without cost, penalty or cancellation fee by writing to support@propelhaus.com, or by deleting your account, up to 30 days after it takes effect. Any refund the law requires remains available.
Where the law requires a different procedure or your consent, we follow it.
22. Language
These terms and the documents they refer to are available in French and in English, at no extra cost for the French version. Where Quebec’s Charter of the French language applies, the French version is given to you first, and you’re bound by the English version only if you expressly choose it after having received the French version. A device’s language or a general language preference isn’t that choice.
If the two versions differ, you can rely on the version or interpretation more favourable to you, where Quebec law provides for it.
23. App stores
App Store. If you downloaded pblc from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) governs your licence to use the app, and these terms govern the Service. If they conflict about your licence to use the app, the Standard EULA prevails. Apple isn’t a party to these terms and isn’t responsible for the Service, its content or its support.
Google Play. If you downloaded pblc from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply to your download and your purchases. Google isn’t a party to these terms and isn’t responsible for the Service.
24. General
- These terms, the Privacy Policy and any plan terms shown when you subscribe are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
- If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest stays in force.
- Not enforcing a part of these terms isn’t a waiver.
- You may not transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them to a company that takes over pblc, which must respect them; we’ll tell you.
- Neither of us is responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, to the extent the law allows. This doesn’t remove mandatory refund or cancellation rights.
- We send notices to the email address on your account or in the app. You send notices to hello@propelhaus.com, or by mail to the address below.
